A memorial service for David “Rooster” Ennis, age 61, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Jerry Clements officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Ennis passed away on March 8, 2022, at his residence.
David was born on December 4, 1960, in Brenham, Texas, to Jessie Lynn and Joyce Faye (Votaw) Ennis. He married Roxanne Joslin on February 20, 2005, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. David worked as a truck driver and a pilot car driver. He was a man of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne; daughters, Tasha Jurek and husband, Donald, and Renaye Hathcoat; son, Luke Hathcoat; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Jonathan Ennis and Daniel Ennis; sisters, Linda McCracker and Rebecca Rampa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Brandon Jurek.
