A funeral service for Albert Ray Morgan, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Love and Faith Church in Greenville, Texas, with Rev Undra Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Grundy Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2022, at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas. Mr. Morgan passed away on January 27, 2022, at Presbyterian Dallas.
Albert was born on September 22, 1949, in Greenville, Texas, to James Brigham and Vela (Morgan) Staten. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Albert was a retired dairy machine operator. He was a man of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Erecka Anderson; son, Patrick Morgan; grandchildren, D.K. Payne, Braxton Morgan and Brielle Morgan; sisters, Dorothy Washington, Gloria Brown, Sandra Kennedy and Bettye Mondy; brother, Willie Morgan; and special friend, Rose Dial.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Willie Staten.
