Memorial services for Debra E. Smiddy, age 56, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2022, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Mathis officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on hour prior to service time. Debra passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Christus Mother Frances in Tyler.
She was born on August 7, 1965, in Sulphur Springs the daughter of J. C. McPherson and Gloria Jean Ballard McPherson. Debra worked for North Hopkins ISD for 26 years and, also drove the school bus. Debra loved to crochet, paint, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her children, Justin Smiddy, Joe Chance Smiddy and wife Lakrisha, Chastin Smiddy and Krystal McPherson, grandchildren, Jailee, Jaizlea, Jaivri and JC Smiddy. Debra was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David McPherson.
