Funeral services for Jennie Kay Virgel, age 64, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021, at the funeral home. Mrs. Virgel passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Jennie Kay Virgel was born August 5, 1957, to John Henry Earley and Helen Ruth Henry, in Lubbock, Texas. In October of 1972, she married “Jimmy” James Edward Virgel, who passed away in 2000. Jennie worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and Restorative Aide at Birchwood Manor in Cooper, Texas, for 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Tony Virgel and wife, Michelle, Tim Virgel and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Jamie Virgel; grandchildren, Chelsey Virgel, Shawn Virgel, Kayla Virgel, Camryn Virgel, Casyn Virgel, Carter Virgel, Jamison Virgel, and Jaxon Virgel-Berry; great-grandchildren, James Carlo Virgel, Roman Virgel, Phoenix Virgel, and Zane Cruz; brothers, Freddy Earley, Johnny Earley, and Dean Earley; and sisters, Debbie Johnson and Louise Hartgroves.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, “Jimmy” James Edward; sisters Ginger Chessher and Shirley Earley.
