Funeral service for Mona George age, 91 of Fate, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Buddy Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with Doug Woolf, Cameron Woolf, Clayton Dacey, John George, Jacob George and Allen Bocangra serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. George passed away on September 30, 2021 at her residence.
Mona was born on August 29, 1930, in Commerce, Texas, to Howell Gibson and Geraldine (Patterson) Emerson. She married Jesse A. George on July 16, 11949, in Denton, Texas. She worked as a homemaker, at Lou Nell’s and as a Ranch Foreman with Tres Robles Simentals, where she retired from. Mona was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Dee Woolf and husband Doug, Debra George, and Danette Murray and husband Jim; grandchildren, Cameron Woolf, Tierney Dacey, John George, Jessica George, Jacob George and Christine Murray; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother, Rocky Emerson.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse; son, Jessie A. George Jr.; brother, Haldene Emerson; and sister, Jerrylene Bossert.
