Graveside service for Alice Garza, age 77, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Mt. Sterling Cemetery with Pastor Rusty Posey and Pastor Lee Sheldt officiating. Anthony Winstead, Benny Winstead, Brian Winstead, Hayden Winstead and Ricky Curbow will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Garza passed away on October 24, 2021, at her residence.
Alice was born on September 11, 1944, to George and Myrtle (Fromtfeller) Putnam. She married Joe Garza on June 15, 1976, in San Antonio, Texas. She worked as a childcare worker. Alice was a member of the Hope Family Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; son, Rick Curbow and wife, Wanda Day; daughter, Rebecca Winstead and husband, Sim; grandchildren, Anthony Winstead, Benny Winstead and Bryan Winstead; and great-grandchildren, Hayden Winstead Joseph Winstead, Brett Rodriguez, Presley Rene Winstead and Kinsley Winstead.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle.
