Funeral service for Mary Geneva Cunningham, age 89, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Kerry Roy officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Duane Taylor, Quinstin Brooks, Ernest Cork, Philip Cork, James Cork and Kenneth Cork. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Interment will follow at the Mel Haven Cemetery. Mrs. Cunningham died on May 29, 2021, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
She was born the Daughter of Charles Edward Cooper and Agnes Lewies Cooper in Terre Haut, Indiana on January 17, 1932. She was married to Willie Cunningham, who preceded her in death. Mary was a receptionist for 20 years before she retired. She belonged to the Eastern Star, love spending time with family and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include niece, Sandra Brooks; nephews, Kenneth Cork and wife Sandra, Michael Cork and wife Linda, Ernest Cork and wife Glenda, Philip Cork and wife Bertha, and James Cork and wife Robin; and numerous other nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Agnew Cooper; husband, Willy Cunningham; two sisters; one brother; and two nephews.
