Annabelle Kerns

Funeral service for Annabelle Kerns, age 98, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 1:30P.M. on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Peerless Baptist Church with Bro. David Burns officiating and Bro. Phillip Mathis assisting. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with John Penn, Cade Kerby, Marlin Kerby, Riley Davis, Cooper Davis and Jamie Davis serving as pallbearers and Mike Kerns and Jack Kerns of Potomac MD serving as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Kerns passed away on March 30, 2021 at
Carriage House in Sulphur Springs.

Annabelle was born on September 26, 1922 in Gray, OK to William and Audrey (Bowles) McCartor. She married her husband Dale Kerns on February 14, 1943 in Hooker, OK. Annabelle earned her Associates Degree from Draughon’s Business School in Amarillo, Tx. She was a bookkeeper for North Hopkins Plains Electric Cooperative. Annabelle loved to read and play the piano. She was a member of the Peerless Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Larry Kerns and wife, Patricia; daughter, Kay Penn and husband, David; grandchildren, Mike Kerns and wife, Janis, Diana Davis and husband, Jamie, John Penn, Laurie Kerby and husband, Marlin; sister, Willie Tregellas; seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Elaine Rogers and Winifred Cook.
