Funeral service for Jacob Casson Cooper, age 20, of Emory, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Lake Fork Baptist Church with Jason Rolen and Eric Christian officiating. Pallbearers: Kyle Schellinger, Colton Barrett, Kerry Foster, Dakota Groves, Kyle Hargrove, Preston Morgan, Lucas Peeples, Dakota Pickett, Dalton Redmon, Sawyer Ridner. Honorary pallbearers: countless friends and the Rains High School Class of 2018. Burial will follow at Dougherty Cemetery in Emory. Visitation will be held at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 4 from 7-9pm. Jacob passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.
Jacob Casson Cooper was born June 20, 2000 in Dallas, Texas to Jimmy “Jimbo” Casson Cooper II and Christina Michelle Shumate Cooper.
Jacob is survived by his parents; brother, Jace Dane Cooper; Love of his life Hannah Mae Tackett; Grandparents Jimmy “Cass” Casson Cooper, Rhonda “Ma-maw” Franklin; Dennie Shumate, Johnny Christian, Great grandparents, Don and Milinda Pinson, Great Grandmother Mary Hartin, Melvin and Wanda Shumate, A.B. and Loretta Godwin; Aunts and Uncles, Debbie and Kim Kenney, Eric and Savanna Christian, Mitch and Destiny Shumate, Justin and Mackenzi Christian; and numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen “Nanny” Cooper; Great grandfather, Weldon “Pop” Christian; Aunt, Shanie Henley and lifelong friend Wesley Pruitt.
