Funeral service for Emma Jean Johnson, age 95, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 10:00A.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery with Jeffrey Johnson, Cory Johnson, Brent Johnson, Bryson Sims, Jerremy Johnson, and Justin Harrington serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 6:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Johnson passed away on February 23, 2021 at Christus Mother Frances –
Sulphur Springs.
Emma was born on April 18, 1925 in Mount Vernon, to Forrest and Sally (McLemore) Gaines. She married Gerald Johnson in 1946 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Emma was a housewife, who loved taking care of her family. She was also of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her son, Delbert Johnson and wife, Kathy Johnson; grandchildren, Brent Johnson, Tamara Johnson Sims, Jennifer Harrington, Jeffrey Johnson, Jerremy Johnson, Cory Johnson and Shanni Burns; great grandchildren, Raven Sims, Bryson Sims, Gavin Johnson, Gracie Johnson, Jacie Harrington, Julie Harrington, Kadeince Burns, Kacein Burns and Kenlee Johnson; great great grandson, Bentley Wayne Price.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Brenda Kay Johnson; sons, Gerald Wayne Johnson and Joe Johnson; grandchild, Michael Johnson; brothers and sister.
