Funeral service for Connie Thompson age 78, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Matinburg Cemetery, in Pine, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25 th , 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Connie passed away on Friday morning, January 22, 2021 at home. Connie Thompson was born January 8 th , 1943 in Winnsboro to Aubrey Heflin and Edna Massey Heflin. She married Jerry Thompson in Mesquite in June of 1959. She worked as a seamstress for H.P. Lee, and as a caretaker.
Connie is survived by her son, James Thompson; grandchildren, Colby Taylor Thompson and wife
Courtney Thompson, James Evan Thompson and Christopher Alan Thompson; sister, Sue Bedford, and sister-in-law, Reba Evelyn Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Edna Helfin; husband Jerry Thompson; son Jerry Alan Thompson; and brothers, Harold Heflin, Garrin Heflin, Bill Heflin.
