Lady Cats Basketball Team Uses Stifling Defense To Get 39-19 Win at Pleasant Grove

On a night when points were hard to come by, the Lady Cats Basketball Team used tough defense to take a 39-19 win on the road at Pleasant Grove Friday evening.

Lady Cats Coach Brittney Tisdell said the Lady Cats kept the Lady Hawks scoreless into some point in the second quarter. She called the Lady Cats defense outstanding.

The Lady Cats got a varsity personal best scoring night from senior Bre’Asia Ivery who scored 11 points. Coach Tisdell said Ivery used her quickness to score against Pleasant Grove. Senior Nylah Lindley scored 9 points. Sophomore guard Kenzie Willis added 6 points.

The Lady Cats evened their season record to 2-2.

The Lady Cats face Paris for a varsity only breakfast special starting at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Main Gym at Sulphur Springs High School. Paris is coached for former Lady Cats Coach Jeff Chapman.
