Sulphur Springs, Texas, Nov. 2, 2020 – The Sulphur Springs Ladies Golf Association hosted their annual golf tournament and luncheon benefitting the Hopkins County Healthcare Foundation’s ‘In My Closet’. This year, the LGA donated over $4,000 assigned for local families battling cancer.
The Healthcare Foundation houses the “In My Closet,” a space filled with an assortment of wigs, scarves, hats, specialty lotions/creams, books, puzzles, etc. The desire of the partnership between The Cross Country Cowboy Church and the Healthcare Foundation who founded the endeavor, is to help patients undergoing cancer treatments to feel better, and combat the difficulties in finding certain items in our community that patients may otherwise have to travel out of town to purchase, or may even lack the funds to obtain. This is a free service for anyone battling cancer. The closet is open by appointment only. More information is available by calling 903.438.4799.
The SS Lady Golfers meet monthly at the Sulphur Springs Country Club and raise money for the Jan James Scholarship Fund benefitting a Sulphur Springs ISD female senior. For more information, call the Country Club at 903-885-4748.
