Arkansas Man Caught Violating Protective Order

A 38-year-old Pine Bluff, Arkansas man was caught violating a protective order early Thursday morning, police alleged in arrest reports.

Sulphur Springs police stopped a Nissan Altima at 12:03 a.m. Oct. 1 on Interstate 30 east near mile marker 132 for a traffic violation. Upon identifying the passenger, officials learned a protective order had been issued prohibiting the 38-year-old Pine Bluff, Arkansas man from being around the driver and owner of the car.

Consequently, the Arkansas man was taken into custody and jailed on a violation of a protective order charge. He was released from jail Friday, Oct. 2 on a $2,000 bond on the Class A misdemeanor charge, according to jail reports.
