Wood County Sheriff’s Report June 9, 2020 to June 15, 2020

June 9th
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 2:03 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 3:39 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2918 near Alba, at approximately 7:52 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Overstreet Wrecker towed the vehicle and the incident was cleared.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:42 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2128 near Quitman, at approximately 8:49 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 49 near Mineola; at approximately 9:06 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:06 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on HWY 11 near Winnsboro. The reporting party advised the deputies at a later time that the truck was retrieved.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3950 near Mineola, at approximately 2:32 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies made contact with the individual and cleared the incident.
At 4:33 p.m., horses were reported out on CR 1710 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4645 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:07 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2780 near Mineola, at approximately 9:19 p.., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 9:29 p.m., in reference to burglary of a vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2236 near Mineola, at approximately 10:20 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

June 10th
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2164 near Quitman; at approximately 8:20 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1600 near Alba, at approximately 9:11 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party at approximately 12:16 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass on CR 4919 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:21 p.m., in reference to a possible theft on CR 3260 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 4:12 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.
At 5:37 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4930 near Quitman.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:36 p.m., in reference to theft on FM 1801 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 9:04 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 Quitman, at approximately 10:19 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

June 11th
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 2:08 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Taylor Liles, 22, of Pittsburg, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 6:29 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the supervisor of the building and determined it was an accident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:11 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat on Plum Knoll near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:25 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat on FM 2225 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 12:50 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1336 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1388 near Yantis, at approximately 4:17 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to Main St. near Yantis, at approximately 7:03 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the key holder and everything was OK.
At 7:22 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3277 near Mineola, at approximately 8:13 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 37 near Mineola; at approximately 8:43 p.m. Raul Carmona, 42, of Mineola, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated Third or More.

June 12th
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4545 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:08 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lake Holbrook beach; at approximately 3:05 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
At 9:10 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 69 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 9:23 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:58 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4645 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:34 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3689 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:31 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:20 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat on CR 3144 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Quitman, at approximately 6:59 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individual and determined the gun was fired in a safe direction.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2263 near Mineola, at approximately 9:42 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies located the individuals and cleared the incident.

June 13th
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2311 near Mineola; at approximately 4:20 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 7:31 a.m., horses were reported out on Hwy 37 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 8:22 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3420 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:56 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2920 near Alba, at approximately 10:44 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any individuals.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2935 near Alba, at approximately 11:55 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2632 near Mineola, at approximately 1:50 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 79, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:55 p.m., in reference to harassment on PR 8692 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 5:35 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook beach, at approximately 7:41 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
At 8:20 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2455 near Leesburg.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:45 p.m., in reference to a possible burglary on CR 2154 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 9:18 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the homeowner and everything was OK.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Quitman ER; at approximately 9:53 p.m. Dakota Ramirez, 28, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 9:53 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 37 near Mineola, at approximately 10:04 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the key holder and everything was OK.

June 14th
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1560 near Alba, at approximately 1:32 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the individuals and advised them to lower the volume of the music.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:14 a.m., in reference to a possible assault on CR 1670 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4660 near Winnsboro; at approximately 6:41 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Sioux near Quitman, at approximately 10:55 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 2:15 p.m., in reference to a structure fire. Mineola Fire Department extinguished the fired and the incident was cleared.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:45 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint on HWY 69 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:57 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver on Loop 564 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3639 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:20 p.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole money from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1658 near Alba, at approximately 6:51 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the individuals lowered the volume of the music.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2263 near Mineola, at approximately 8:12 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies located the individuals and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 10:49 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

June 15th
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Main St. in Yantis; at approximately 8:21 a.m. Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the vehicle left the area.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 1804 near Mineola; at approximately 11:13 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 11 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:13 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil issue.
Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 154 near Yantis, at approximately 12:32 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4730 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:52 p.m., in reference to harassment. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:56 p.m., in reference to a possible assault on PR 6394 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:25 p.m., in reference to a scam on CR 2276 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 312 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:14 p.m., in reference to a theft. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 7:26 p.m., cows were reported out on Cr 3226 near Quitman.
At 7:41 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 10:07 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 154 near Yantis; at approximately 11:21 p.m. Deputies located the individual and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4890 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:56 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Between the dates of June 9 and June 15, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Mineola Police Department, Adult Protective Services, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Smith County Sheriff’s Office, Precinct 2 Constable, Department of Public Safety, Emergency Medical Services and Wood County Juvenile Probation.

Total Jail Count –139 inmates –116 males and 23 females.
