An isolated lightning strike took place at one of the Wesley House Cottages on the grounds of 1044 Church Street during the evening of Tuesday March 17, 2020. According to Executive Director Shanna Smith, everyone is alright and necessary repairs are being made.
A resident of Lee Street in Sulphur Springs snapped some photos of lightning damage next door to him in the 600 block of Lee Street. It occurred during a thunderstorm which affected Sulphur Springs in the 9pm hour on Tuesday March 17, 2020. There was no fire damage to the house or tree. The photos shows clean-up being done on the following morning.
