2 Reportedly Arrested By Texas Attorney General’s Officers On Warrants

A 50-year-old Clifton man and 33-year-old Waco woman were booked Friday evening into Hopkins County jail on warrants. According to arrest reports, Sgt. R. Mullikin with Texas Attorney General’s Office observed Everette Lee Johnson operating a vehicle, a red Chevrolet Camaro. Leann Wilkerson-Johnson was the passenger in the car, arrest reports stated. reports.

Both Johnson and Wilkerson-Johnson were reportedly known to have outstanding warrants. When Johnson stopped the vehicle, both he and Wilkerson-Johnson were allegedly detained at the vehicle by officers with the Attorney General’s Office and taken into custody at 2:30 p.m. on warrants. The place of arrest was listed as being on FM 2966, although the county where that address is located was not specified in reports. Mullikin and J. Paul Balson with Texas AG’s Office, were listed as as arresting officers in arrest reports.

Everette Lee Johnson

Johnson was booked into Hopkins County jail at 5:24 p.m. March 6, 2020, on Johnson County warrants for failure to appear/bond forfeiture on unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of 4-200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance with charges, and a US District Court-Northern District warrant for conspiracy- possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute charge; bond was recommended at $150,000 each on the Johnson County charges, and he is to be held without bond on the USDC warrant, according to arrest and jail reports. No bond had been set on the Johnson County charges as of Saturday, according to jail reports. Johnson is also known by Lee Johnson and Steven Eugene Johnson, according to arrest and jail reports.

Leann Wilkerson-Johnson

Wilkerson-Johnson was booked into Hopkins County jail at 5:12 p.m. March 6, 2020, on a 54th Judicial District Court-McLennan County warrant for failure to appear/bond forfeiture on a tampering with physical evidence charge; bond was recommended at $250,000 on the charge, according to arrest reports. Hopkins County jail reports show she too is wanted in McClennan County for failure to identify, and that no bond had yet been set on either charge. Wilkerson Johnson is also known by Leann Crysta Wilkerson Johnson, Crystal Wilkerson, Cryatal Betts and Crystal L. Wilkeson, according to jail reports.
