January 8

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 north in Mineola, at approximately 1:30 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 in Quitman, at approximately 6:41 a.m., in reference to an incident. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 10:34 a.m., horses were reported out on County Road 1960 in Yantis.
  • At approximately 10:47 a.m., deputies were dispatched to west State Highway 154 in Yantis in reference to a burglary. The reporting party stated that actors, or actors unknown, stole a generator by cutting the lock.
  • At approximately 11:21 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3220.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 in Mineola, at approximately 12:01 p.m., in reference to an assault. Robin Wright, 58, of Mineola, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1660/FM 17 in Alba, at approximately 1:33 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.
  • At approximately 4:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to W. Highway 80 in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 5567, at approximately 5:24 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1730 in Yantis, at approximately 5:41 p.m., in reference to an incident. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1522 in Alba, at approximately 6:29 p.m., in reference to a grass fire. The Alba Fire Department contained the fire and the fire marshal will investigate.
  • At approximately 7:38 p.m., deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 and County Road 1336 in Quitman in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2546 in Mineola, at approximately 10:13 p.m., in reference to an assault. Deputies met with the victim who did not wish to pursue any charges.

January 9

  • At approximately 1:13 a.m., deputies spoke on the telephone with a complainant who advised that actors, or actors unknown, had ordered on-line items and opened a post office box in his name without permission. This case is being forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3440, at approximately 4:24 a.m., in regards to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3155 in Quitman, at approximately 5:23 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies determined this to be a false alarm.
  • At approximately 9:28 a.m., deputies spoke on the telephone with a party complaining of receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown party. She was advised to block the caller and she also requested extra patrol in her area.
  • Cows were reported out on FM 312 near FM 49, at approximately 9:21 a.m. During the process of looking for the owner, deputies contacted and arrested Ricky Lawrence, 22, of Hawkins for an out of county warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to south FM 14 in Hawkins, at approximately 9:28 a.m., in reference to an animal complaint. The reporting party stated that a neighbor’s dog had killed her small dog. Deputies contacted the owner of the other dog and discussed the statute regarding certain dog and coyotes prohibited from running at large.
  • Cows were reported out on County Road 2688/FM 2659 at approximately 9:51 a.m.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3875 in Mineola, at approximately 9:56 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 70, was found deceased in her residence. The justice of the peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.
  • Horses were reported out at 1960/1950 at approximately 11:03 a.m.
  • At approximately 1:11 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 4192 in Quitman in reference to a criminal mischief. The reporting party stated that persons known to her had intentionally cut and damaged her fence in multiple locations. This case is forwarded to investigators.
  • At approximately 4:52 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 69.
  • At approximately 5:36 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 69, north of 515.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 near County Road 3832, at approximately 8:12 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and arrested the driver, Dakota Peiffer, 29, of Grand Saline for out of county warrants.
  • At approximately 11:04 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 1941 in Yantis in reference to suspicious circumstances. The homeowner reported hearing dogs barking and thought someone might be on the property. Deputies searched the area and all was OK.

January 10

  • At approximately 12:51 a.m., deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 in Quitman in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2389 in Alba, at approximately 7:15 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was OK.
  • At approximately 8:18 a.m., deputies were dispatched to State Highway 154 in Quitman in reference to an open door. Deputies searched the premises and found no forced entry. No damages were found so deputies secured the apartment and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies received a telephone call at approximately 8:58 a.m. regarding an assault. Deputies spoke with the reporting party who stated that she had been assaulted the previous day by her live-in boyfriend. She e-mailed photos and Facebook messages which have been forwarded to investigators.
  • At approximately 9:07 a.m., deputies spoke on the telephone to a complainant regarding unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that a person known to her had taken the keys to her car and driven off in the car without her consent. The vehicle was later recovered in Smith County and the case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies met with a reporting party in the lobby of the sheriff’s office, at approximately 11:13 a.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse. The complainant stated that actors, or actors unknown, had purchased an item using 2 credit cards. The complainant was later notified that one of the transactions had been disputed by the true cardholder. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2210 in Mineola, at approximately 1:45 p.m., regarding an animal complaint. Deputies spoke to the complainant who stated that a neighbor’s dog repeatedly came onto his property. Deputies spoke to the dog owner and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 3:51 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2427 in Mineola regarding a disturbance. Deputies spoke with one of the parties who admitted to assaulting the victim. However, the victim did not wish to pursue charges so deputies cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to North Main Street in Yantis, at approximately 3:56 p.m., regarding damage to property. Deputies determined this to be civil in nature and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near County Road 4807 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:56 p.m., in reference to an assault. The reporting party stated that a person known to her began following her car and intentionally rear-ended her car twice. Due to a lack of cooperation on the part of the complainant, this case has been closed.
  • At approximately 5:39 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 1901 in Yantis regarding a disturbance. Deputies met with both parties and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 8:57 p.m., deputies received a call from a Child Protective Service worker in regards to child abuse. This case is being forwarded to investigators who will be working with CPS.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1254 in Mineola, at approximately 10:40 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the residence and garage and it was all secure.
  • At approximately 11:27 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a business on Highway 37 in Quitman in reference to an open door. Deputies checked the business and surrounding area and then secured the building.

January 11

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801, at approximately 12:41 a.m., regarding a traffic hazard. Deputies determined there was not a hazard at this location.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 14, at approximately 5:16 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2610 in Mineola, at approximately 5:27 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the alarm company and everything was OK.
  • At approximately 9:21 a.m., deputies responded to County Road 2145 in Quitman regarding a traffic hazard. High water in the area had moved several gates away from a fence and into the roadway. Deputies moved the gates out of the road and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 West, at approximately 12:33 p.m., regarding a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and driver, who was having a medical issue, and followed her safely home.
  • At approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 in Yantis regarding an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was OK.
  • Cows were reported out on Highway 37 in Winnsboro at approximately 2:41 p.m.
  • At approximately 4:19 p.m., horses were reported out on County Road 1960.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 7547 in Hawkins, at approximately 6:16 p.m., regarding an assault. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 11:54 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 80 near Highway 69 in Mineola. Semaj Boston-Brooks, 19, of McKinney, was arrested for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution Known Felon. Fletcher Jacolby, 21, of Garland was arrested for failure to identify fugitive-intentionally give false information, and multiple out of county warrants.

January 12

  • Deputies were dispatched to 69, south of Alba, at approximately 1:34 p.m., regarding a welfare check. Deputies located the vehicle and driver and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 2:07 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at County Road 1522 at FM 17. Teddy Graham, II, 31, of Grand Saline was arrested for possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by felon and abandon/endanger child-criminal negligence.
  • Deputies assisted a motorist with changing a flat tire on State Highway 154 east at approximately 4:55 a.m.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 in Mineola, at approximately 8:55 a.m., regarding an animal complaint. Deputies removed dead hogs from the roadway and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 10:07 a.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 1590 in Alba regarding a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3279 in Quitman, at approximately 3:06 p.m., regarding a burglary. Actors, or unknown actors burglarized reporting party’s home and vehicle causing damage and stealing numerous items. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • At approximately 6:37 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office regarding a sexual assault. The complainant reported that she was assaulted by a known person the previous day. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3425 in Hawkins, at approximately 10:29 p.m., regarding shots fired. Deputies searched the location, but were unable to locate anyone shooting.

January 13

  • Deputies met with a complainant in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:32 a.m., regarding an assault that occurred at FM 2659 in Hawkins. The reporting party stated that he had been threatened and assaulted by a person known to him. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 8:16 a.m., cows were reported out on 2869/4530.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 in Yantis, at approximately 10:01 a.m., regarding found property. The reporting party found explosive devices in a house that belonged to her deceased father. Deputies took possession of the devices for disposal.
  • At approximately 10:56 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office regarding harassment. The complainant had been receiving harassing text messages. She was given advice regarding how to handle the situation.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869, at approximately 3 p.m., regarding an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2311 in Mineola, at approximately 4:12 p.m., regarding a dog bite. After the owner of the dog was located, she provided proof of vaccinations, was issued a dangerous dog notification and advised to quarantine the dog for 10 days.
  • At 4:13 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 515, at approximately 4:15 p.m., regarding a welfare check. The individual wasn’t located, but the deputies spoke with neighbors who stated that the individual was fine.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3540 in Hawkins, at approximately 4:45 p.m., regarding criminal mischief. Actors or actors unknown damaged the reporting party’s fence.
  • At approximately 6:43 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Private Road 5174 in Quitman regarding a disturbance. Deputies met with both of the parties and issued a criminal trespass warning to one of the individuals.
  • Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to Myrtle Street in Winnsboro at approximately 7:53 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to Holiday Village at approximately 8:07 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • At approximately 9:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to FM 14 in Hawkins regarding a theft. The complainant reported actors, or actors unknown, had stolen many tools in the past few months. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49, at approximately 10:54 p.m., regarding suspicious circumstances. The homeowner reported dogs barking and heard noises outside. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate anything suspicious.

January 14

  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Holiday Villages at approximately 12:22 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • At approximately 9:13 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Indian Gap in Quitman regarding a dog bite. The victim was feeding the dog, which was tied to a tree, when she was bitten. The deputies located the dog owner who was issued a citation and told to quarantine the dog for ten days.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2121 in Quitman, at approximately 9:51 a.m., regarding stalking. The complainant was advised to call back the next time she sees him near her home.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4626, at approximately 11:40 a.m., regarding a 911 hang-up call. Deputies located a female at the address in need of medical help who was then transported to the hospital.
  • At approximately 1:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office regarding a theft. The complainant stated that actors, or actors unknown, had stolen two rings from her daughter’s bedroom. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Cows were reported out on County Road 3265 at approximately 1:49 p.m.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2430 in Mineola, at approximately 2:15 p.m., regarding a drug offense. A minor was arrested for possession of marijuana.
  • At approximately 5:07 p.m., deputies were dispatched to highway 69 regarding a reckless driver passing cars on the shoulder. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • At approximately 5:24 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office regarding an aggravated robbery complaint. The reporting party advised that actors, or actors unknown entered his residence with a weapon, threatened him and fired the weapon inside of the house. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1254 in Mineola, at approximately 7:37 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 1917 at approximately 10:26 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Myrtle Street at approximately 11:05 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • At approximately 11:33 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 1700 in Yantis regarding suspicious circumstances. The homeowner reported hearing noises outside of the home. Deputies searched the area, but only discovered an armadillo.
