Wildcats and Lady Cats Play in Terrell Tournament Beginning Thursday

The Wildcats Soccer Team opens play Thursday (January 16) in the three-day Terrell Tiger Winter Classic tournament. The Wildcats played in the first game of the tournament facing Kilgore in a match that started at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. It’s the Wildcats only match of the day. The Wildcats will play former district foe Hallsville Friday at 2 p.m. and Seagoville Saturday at 12:30 p.m. If the Wildcats win their group, the they will play in the tournament championship game Saturday at 6:45 p.m. The Wildcats enter the tournament with a record of 2-4-2. Tuesday night the Wildcats tied West Mesquite on the road, 2-2.

The Lady Cats Soccer Team is participating in the Terrell Tiger Winter Blast tournament beginning Thursday. The Lady Cats have two games Thursday. In group play, they face Athens Thursday at 2 p.m. Then the Lady Cats play host Terrell at 8 p.m. On Friday, the Lady Cats conclude group play against Seagoville at 6:30 p.m. If the Lady Cats win their group, they will play in the tournament championship game Saturday at 5 p.m. The Lady Cats come into the tournament looking to get their first victory of the season. Their season record is 0-3-1. The Lady Cats almost got that first win Tuesday at home against Princeton. The Lady Cats had a 3-0 lead but the Lady Panthers scored 4 goals in about 20 minutes to get a 4-3 win.
