Teen Sentenced To Deferred Probation, ISF treatment

January 2, 2020 – A 19-year-old Sulphur Springs man was sentenced this week to a 10-year deferred sentence on a controlled substance charge.

DeAnthony Rayon Moore was scheduled to appear Dec. 30 in court, where he reportedly plead guilty on a manufacture or delivery of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charge, according to court reports.

Moore has been sentenced to serve 10 years on deferred probation. He also was assessed a $1,000 fine and will be required to attend a cognitive-based treatment program at an Intermediate Sanctioned Facility as a condition of his probation, according to the district attorney’s office.

Moore has remained in Hopkins County jail since his arrest Nov. 20, at Hopkins County Courthouse on an order revoking his bond on a manufacture or delivery of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance in a drug-free zone charge, according to arrest and jail reports.
