Early in their soccer game in the Pine Tree Lady Pirate Showcase Thursday afternoon, the Lady Cats Soccer Team was doing okay against Jacksonville. Lady Cats Coach Javier Aguayo said the Lady Cats were keeping possession of the ball for the first ten minutes of the match. Then he said after that, it all fell apart. Coach Aguayo said the Lady Cats made a lot of mistakes that made it harder for them to come back and take control of the game. Jacksonville took a 2-0 win. Coach Aguayo said it was a rough start to the tournament. He said the Lady Cats were disappointed but he said all they can do is keep their heads up and work harder Friday against Cleburne. Weather permitting, the Lady Cats are scheduled to play Cleburne at 1 p.m. Friday back at the Pine Tree Auxiliary Stadium. The Lady Cats are also scheduled to play the host Lady Pirates Saturday at 6 p.m. at Pine Tree Stadium.
