Hugo, Oklahoma Basketball Team Gets Victory At SSHS Gym Friday Evening, 57-42

The Hugo, Oklahoma Lady Buffaloes broke open a close game several minutes into the game with the Lady Cats on their way to a 57-42 win Friday evening at the main gym at Sulphur Springs High School.

Hugo led 15-8 after one quarter, 27-16 at halftime and 43-24 after three periods. The Lady Cats outscored the Lady Buffs, 18-14 in the fourth quarter but it was not nearly enough.

Lady Cat junior Nylah Lindley led the Lady Cats with 12 points with half of them coming in the fourth quarter. Sophomore post Hannah Cordell added 10 points. Freshman Addisyn Wall scored 8 points including two three-pointers. Junior Bre’Asia Ivery had 6 points. Freshman Serenity Lewis, senior Colbria Harrison and sophomore Addy Lamb all scored two points. The Lady Cats had to play without freshman Kenzie Willis who is out with an injury.

Hugo was led in scoring by Jordan Holman with 14 points.

The Lady Cats are now 6-16 for the season.

They play next at Sherman Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. right before the Wildcats and Bearcats play at 7:30 p.m.
