Get Ready!! Over 50 Vendors Coming to Brick Street Vintage Market on Saturday!

Celebration Plaza will stretch it’s boundaries to accommodate the nearly 60 vintage market vendors coming to downtown Sulphur Springs on Saturday September 21, 2019! This growing interest is being showcased one day only this weekend by the Downtown Business Alliance of local merchants. If you like shopping for one-of-a-kind jewelry, handmade soaps and lotions, re-purposed farm implements, trendy home decor items and boutique fashions with a vintage flair, you will love this one-day market. The proof that shoppers respond well this style of casual outdoor event is evidenced by the growing number of vendors who are answering the DBA’s invitation to ‘come and set up shop’ for the day!

Marlene DeYong and Judy Heilman, DBA members who are also retail business owners, gave some exciting news during a KSST Good Morning Show interview. “We know that everyone…tourists and locals alike…love the nostalgic appearance of our downtown district but they also want shopping choices and the dining experience they are seeking. Well, we’ve got it all right here! And in keeping with that, we’ve planned a fun contest that all ages can enter, the Bicycle Decorating Contest. Spruce up and decorate your bike whether it’s ride-able or not, and park it in the designated space at 10am. Judging will take place during the morning, and the winner announced at noon Saturday. There’s a $100 prize for the best! And if you notice, our Brick Street Vintage Market t-shirts carry the same theme, picturing a comfortable bicycle ready to take you to new and exciting discoveries, like our Brick Street Vintage Market!

In addition to shopping the Vintage Market, you’ll be able to stroll and sample wines and coffees, see a ‘chalk painting’ demonstration on furniture, browse an art gallery, enjoy a trunk show of fashion, stop at a station for Quilt Show lovers, and hear live music at various stops. The Market Registration Table will be set up outside The Magic Scoop and The Potato House on Connolly Street, so be sure and stop there to sign up and get a market bag, a map and other helpful printed information about the downtown district.
