Lady Cats Volleyball Coach Bailey Dorner said the Lady Cats played with energy and enthusiasm and, she added, she was proud of their effort as the Lady Cats won their pool Thursday, Aug. 22, at the 5th Annual Edgewood Back-to-School Dig-Fest Volleyball Tournament.
The Lady Cats got wins over Lone Oak, 2-0, Scurry-Rosser, 2-1 and Caddo Mills, 2-0.
The Lady Cats will play in the tournament Championship Bracket Saturday at 9:30 a.m. against Grand Saline in the Edgewood High School Gym.
Coach Dorner said Sadie Washburn had 26 kills Thursday. She also said Brooklyn Burnside and Sydney Washburn played great. Coach Dorner also liked the way the Lady Cats passed the ball and how they moved their feet on the court. She said the errors she saw her team make earlier in the season were not being made as much now.
