July 3 rd

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2692 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:34 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2117 near Quitman, at approximately 5:04 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A known actor took the reporting party’s vehicle without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3955 near Mineola, at approximately 7:24 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 69, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and an autopsy was ordered.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4740 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:51 a.m.
  • Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4294 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:16 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:46 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle on CR 4897 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:42 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:36 p.m., in reference to a theft on HWY 80 near Hawkins. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s church. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 2:48 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1682 near Alba, at approximately 4:35 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a generator from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:12 p.m., in reference to a theft on CR 2632 near Mineola. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2290 near Mineola, at approximately 5:24 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman, at approximately 7:39 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook beach; at approximately 10:44 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

July 4th

  • Deputies were dispatched to Lake Hawkins point, at approximately 1:23 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Beaulah St. in Hawkins, at approximately 3:28 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 11 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:51 a.m., in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:29 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat on CR 2332 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins, at approximately 4:07 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle near Lake Hawkins; at approximately 4:14 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 4:15 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 3440 near Hawkins; at approximately 4:59 p.m. Travis Hoover, 25, of Hawkins, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
  • At 6:56 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.
  • At 8:42 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 1643 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 9:09 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3265 near Mineola, at approximately 9:28 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook beach, at approximately 10:20 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Mineola, at approximately 10:45 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

July 5th

  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 8692 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:34 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s property.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:32 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4360 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:06 a.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s firearm.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 1590 near Alba; at approximately 9:36 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Alba, at approximately 10:26 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 12:13 p.m. Florentino Flores, 54, of Gilmer, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:01 p.m., in reference to a scam on FM 1647 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Sioux near Quitman, at approximately 7:13 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3990 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:13 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. The individuals left the scene, prior to the deputies’ arrival.

July 6th

  • Deputies were dispatched to Concho near Quitman, at approximately 10:48 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil matter.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 1:36 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Sioux near Quitman, at approximately 1:48 p.m., in reference to an assault. Darilene Benavides, 42, of Quitman, was arrested for Aggravated Assault Date/Family/Household Member with Weapon and Resisting Arrest Search or Transport.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 3:32 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies advised the individual with the firearm to shoot in a safe direction.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Lake Hawkins, at approximately 5:07 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Bobby Ray Harris, II, 20, of Dallas, was arrested for Failure to Identify/Refuse to Provide Identification.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 3220 near Quitman; at approximately 9:17 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:19 p.m., in reference to harassment on Main St. in Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Fm 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:28 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3264 near Quitman, at approximately 10:52 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

July 7th

  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 1:57 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.
  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 7108 near Quitman, at approximately 7:50 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4990 near Quitman, at approximately 10:19 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 11:29 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Quitman.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Stephens St. in Quitman; at approximately 11:37 a.m. Judd Pippins, 36, of Mineola, was arrested for Expired Registration and Expired Drivers License. Alexandria Dollinger, 28, of Alba, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:06 p.m., in reference to harassment on HWY 154 near Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Lake Hawkins, at approximately 7:33 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:13 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 1522 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 10:13 p.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Fm 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:05 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the key holder and everything was OK.

July 8th

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:50 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Joes Wrecker towed the vehicle and deputies cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2168 near Quitman, at approximately 11:02 a.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse. Actors, or actors unknown, used the reporting party’s credit/debit card without authorization.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 515 near Alba; at approximately 12:08 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 5551 near Yantis, at approximately 8:19 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4847 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:38 p.m. Deputies made contact with the owner of the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Between the dates of July 3 and July 8, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Emergency Medical Services, Mineola Police Department, Smith County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Marshall.
  • Between the dates of July 3 and July 8, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 2 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals.
