Raymond Lewis Harman

Raymond Lewis Harman, age 75, of Point, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in Dallas at the VA Hospital. Mr. Harman was born August 11, 1943 in Antioch, Kentucky to the parentage of Theodore Ricketts and Katherine Rebecca Carder Harman. After high school, he served his country by going into the U.S. Army where he served for thirteen and a half years. and Survived TET of 1968. He was medically retired in 1981. After being Army for so long, he worked as a security guard for National Guard and then security guard at NAS Dallas. He married Charlene Yendt, in Grand Prairie, on Nov. 12, 1982. Mr. Harman was a member of American Legion Post 517;
AM-VETS Post 36; and V.F.W. Post 2559; all in West Tawakoni. He received numerous medals while serving in the military. Medals such as the Presidential Medal from the President of South Korea, and the Presidential Medal from the President of South Vietnam. Survivors include:
Wife: Charlene Harman of Point Sons: Matthew Allen Aldinger of Bryan; and, Michael Raymond Aldinger (Holly) of Canada Daughter: Melanie Foster of Kentucky Step-son: Joseph Swab; and, Step-daughter: Jolene Swab-Burks (Jerald) Grandchildren: 1 granddaughter: Rachael Foster
1 step-granddaughter: Bailey Swab Golightly, 1 step-grandson: Preston Golightly 1 Great-grandson Sisters: Minnie Gammons of Milford, Ohio; and,
Jessie Wallace of Louisville, Kentucky Numerous other loving family and friends Preceded in death by: Parents; and 2 Sisters, Mary Elizabeth Ball, and Sue Katherine Robbins
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home.
