Frank LeRoy Casteel went to his Heavenly home on Saturday June 8, 2019 in Tyler, TX surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on Wednesday October 31, 1934 to the late Clarence and LaVerne (Davis) Casteel in Galveston, TX. After school Frank joined the U.S. Army and became a paratrooper with the 82cd Airborne Division. Frank met the love of his life Alice Johnson and they were about to start their 65th year together as husband and wife. After his time in the Army he went to work in the oil and gas refinery business where he was a top notch mechanic for more than 20 years. Frank was Baptist by faith and he and Alice were faithful members of the First Baptist Church of Hawkins, TX. He was predeceased by his parents; one daughter; Sheryle Casteel and one brother Harry Casteel. Those left to honor his memory are his wife Alice, three sons Don, Ron and Patrick Casteel, one brother Ray Casteel, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends.
