SSISD Trustees Approve 13 Personnel Changes

Sulphur Springs Independent School District Board of Trustees approved 13 personnel changes following a special noon board meeting Friday. Five resignations, five new hires and three staff reassignments were among the changes, which affect six different campuses.

Resigning from Sulphur Springs Middle School are English language arts and reading/English as a second language teacher Pam Ming and special education aide Shelby Polk.

Joining the SSMS faculty will be Shealee Owen as an eighth grade English teacher and Hollie Watson as a sixth grade ELAR teacher.

Science teacher Ludivina Adair will be moving from middle school to high school. Moving from SSMS to Austin Academic Center will be Marsha Nolen; she will swap from teaching math to teaching REACH. Chanie Collins will switch from REACH teacher to special education aide at Austin Academic Center.

Leaving high school are audio video tech teacher Tate Conrad and long term substitute agriculture science teacher Dannie Johnson.

Joe Garcia will be joining the Sulphur Springs High School staff as a Spanish teacher and coach.

Also resigning was Saundra Lewis as a special education aide at Sulphur Springs Elementary.

Finally, Marissa Gale was approved as the new campus secretary at Barbara Bush Primary and Adrian Washington as the new third grade ELAR teacher at Bowie Primary.
