Carolyn was born in Winnsboro on August 28, 1948 to Aubrey Kennemer and Eula Orea Robinson. She died March 12, 2019 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
Carolyn married Charles David Tapley on December 31, 1966. She worked in the school cafeteria at Austin Elementary in Sulphur Springs for 20 years. She was also very involved in the churches she attended over the years.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Tapley; daughters, Sonya Tapley of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Leigh Anne Goldsmith and husband Jeff of Palmer, Texas; son Tim Tapley and wife Monica of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren Keithan Tapley of Longview, Texas, Allissa and Alex Figueroa of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Quenton, Dalton, and Tony Goldsmith of Palmer, Texas, and Jazmine and Sam Tapley of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and sister, Sandra Tyler and husband C.D. of Mesquite, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro on March 15th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be on March 16th at 2:00 pm at Pine Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Winnsboro.
