Monday Game Day
It’s the kind of thing you do for a friend. Former Lady Cats Soccer Coach Jesus DeLeon is now coaching the boys team in Texarkana, the Texas High Tigers. On Tuesday (March 12), Jesus’ daughter Abby Diaz DeLeon, a former Lady Cat player now a Texas High Lady Tiger will be a part of senior night. The schedule called for Jesus to be in Sulphur Springs Tuesday where his Tigers will be playing Coach Alexi Upton’s Wildcats. Lady Cats Coach Joel Bailey, a longtime DeLeon assistant Coach, worked with the Lady Tigers’ coach to move their game to Monday night (March 11). Coach DeLeon now will be able to attend the senior night game Monday in Texarkana and then come to Sulphur Springs and coach his team Tuesday. Hats off to Coach Bailey for his classy move. On this Monday game day, the Lady Cats play the Lady Tigers in Texarkana on Senior Night. There will be a JV contest at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity match to follow at 7 p.m. The Lady Cats need a win. They are 3-4 in district play.
Also Monday, Lady Cats golfers will be playing at Chickasaw Pointe golf
course in Durant, Oklahoma.
