Funeral service for Jerry Don Brumfield, age 74, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday February 26, 2019 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Connor officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt Sterling Cemetery with Charlie Brumfield, Ryan Brumfield, Ty Shane Brumfield, Joshua Cockrum, Jordan Cockrum, Jacob Ball, Kevin McDonald, Daniel McDonald, and Colton McDonald serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.  Mr. Brumfield passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs.

Jerry Brumfield was born on April 19, 1944  in Sulphur Springs to Robert and Jewell Jones Brumfield.  He married Patsy Mosher in Sulphur Springs on August 8, 1974.  Jerry was the owner of Jerry’s Electric and worked as an electrical contractor for over 30 years. He was a member and past master of Sulphur Springs Lodge # 221, Scottish Rite Mason 32° KCCH, York Rite Mason, Hella Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters Court # 25, Past District Deputy Grand Master of District 7, member and past president of Sulphur Springs Jaycees, named Outstanding Young Man of America in 1980, charter member and organizer of Hopkins County Shrine Club and Shrine parade unit Hella Roadsters, and Sharon Sandstreakers parade unit.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patsy; sons, Jerry D and wife Cindy of Tulsa, OK,  Paul “Marty” McDonald and wife Stacey of Sulphur Springs, Dustin Brumfield and wife Pat of Genoa, Arkansas, Jason Brumfield and wife Wendy of Waxahachie; daughters, Kim Ball and husband Phillip of Sulphur Springs, Lauren Brumfield and fiancé Anthony Agan of Sulphur Springs; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Gaston of Sulphur Springs. Lou Scribner of Canton, Sue Grenwelge of llano, Faye Evans of Forney and Betty Norman of Dallas.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ty Brumfield; two sisters and four brothers.
