Local Man Arrested for Possession of 10-grams of Meth and More

When Brandon Wayne Pehl, 35, of Sulphur Springs, was stopped by a Sulphur Springs Police officer for a traffic offense, his defensive attitude and shaking hand let the officer to ask consent to search the vehicle. The result was 10-grams of methamphetamine in Pehl’s clothing, 18-grams of THC wax, a handgun, and a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.

The methamphetamine was located in Pehl’s clothing at the Hopkins County Jail. The other items were found in the vehicle at the scene of the arrest.

Pehl is in Hopkins County Jail Charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, more than 4-grams but less than 400-grams, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 more than 4-grams but less than 200-grams, Unlawful Carry of Weapon, and Possession of Marijuana. He is held on bonds totaling $70,000.
