Wildcats Win Two, Lose Two in Mansfield ISD Spring Creek Barbeque Classic

The Wildcats’ basketball team spent Thursday and Friday (November 29-30) in the Mansfield ISD Spring Creek Barbeque Classic battling four tough opponents. In the end, they broke even with a pair of wins and two losses.

Thursday, the Wildcats opened with an 8 point win over Mansfield Lake Ridge on the Eagles home court. That win paired the Wildcats up with one of the top teams in Class 6A, #7 ranked Fort Bend Elkins, and they topped the Wildcats by 5 points.

On Friday, the Wildcats went into overtime to defeat Killeen Ellison, 59-55 in overtime. Later the Wildcats struggled against Mansfield Summit and lost, 44-32. Keaston Willis led the Wildcats with 16 points. Cameron Kahn scored 7 points. Sadaidriene Day Day Hall had 6 points. Boo Wilkerson and Jeremiah Roland scored 2 points apiece and Xavier Cork had 1 point.

With the 2-2 mark in the tournament, the Wildcats season record is now 7-2. They play next at home Tuesday night against Dallas Woodrow Wilson.
