When Hopkins County Sheriff’s deputies located Robby Lynn Simpkins, 60 of Greenville, wanted on three outstanding warrants, he was a resident at Royal Inn in Sulphur Springs. Although not in his room when deputies arrived, they waited. When he did arrive, Simpkins had 1.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine in his possession.
Simpkins was wanted on Parole Violation by the Austin Parole Board, Burglary of a Habitation in Franklin County, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug in Hunt County. He is in Hopkins County Jail held on those warrants and is charged with possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, less than 1-gram but more than 4-grams.
