Lady Cats Travel to New Boston Tuesday; Win Tough Games at Hoopfest Last Week

Lady Cats Basketball Coach Brittney Tisdell said the Winnsboro Hoopfest was a good tournament for the Lady Cats. They won won four out of five during the three-day tourney. Their one loss occurred in the championship game Saturday (December 1) against Class 6A Longview. Coach Tisdell noted that the Lady Cats had to win four tough games to get to the final. She said she was impressed by several of the Lady Lobos. Coach Tisdell said the Lady Cats were worn out by Saturday and she added she would like another shot at Longview with her team rested and ready to go. She said the Lady Cats’ starting five played great during the tournament. Coach Tisdell also liked the play of Kate Womack off the bench, especially in the first game against Winnsboro. She also praised the Lady Cats’ bench for supporting their teammates when they were not playing. The Lady Cats are 7-1 for the season. They now play at New Boston Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. Coach Tisdell said New Boston is fast and athletic and she said the Lady Cats should match up well with them.
