After struggling through the first half, the Lady Cats’ basketball team turned to a press that ignited the team in the second half in a 49-37 win over Idabel, Oklahoma Tuesday evening (December 11) in Wildcats Gym. The Lady Cats trailed 10-7 after one quarter and 17-14 at the half before outscoring the Warriors 35-20 over the last two quarters.
Sadavia Porter scored 19 of her game high 27 points in the second half. Autumn Tanton had 10 points with 8 of them coming during the last two quarters. Danielle Godbolt had 8 points with 5 of them coming in the second half. Kate Womack had 2 points. Nylah Lindley and Aliyah Abron added 1 point each. The Warriors were led by Alexandria Thompson and Latavia Cherry with 10 points apiece.
Idabel is now 0-2 for the season.
The Lady Cats improved their season record to 12-3. The Lady Cats play Princeton in Wildcats Gym Friday at 6:15 p.m.
