With perfect weather, and the largest number of stew cites on record, Hopkins County is getting ready for the 2018 World Champion Hopkins County Stew Contest.
For those lucky enough to be able to participate in the Friday set-up, it is a magical time. It’s like a giant community campground right in Sulphur Springs with people cooking, catching up, and enjoying the outdoors. Tonight, Buford Park will be filled with the scent of oak fires, firelight, and everyone’s evening meal.
