Jahangir Agrees to Three Year Sentence

Zain Jahangir, 32, agreed to three years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice when his probation for online solicitation of a minor was revoked Monday in Eighth Judicial District Court, according to Matt Harris, Assistant District Attorney.

Three years ago, November, 2015, Jahangir, who lived in McKinney at the time, lost his way to a meeting that he had arranged a meeting for the purpose of a sexual encounter with one who he thought to be an under 17-year old minor. When he arrived in Sulphur Springs, he could not find the arranged location. He made a phone call to the individual and set a new location for the meeting at a convenience store on Main Street. He was waiting at the new location in the vehicle he had described when local law enforcement officers arrived and arrested him for online solicitation of a minor.
