The Lady Cats’ volleyball team is back in action in district play on this game day Tuesday (September 25). The Lady Cats travel to Lindale to face the Lady Eagles. The Lady Cats are 0-1 in district play after Friday’s 3-1 loss at Royse City in the district opener for both teams. The Lady Eagles are off to a 1-0 start in district play as they won at Mount Pleasant last Friday, 3-0. The Lady Cats have a season record of 24-8 and they are ranked #25 in the Texas Girls Coaches Association Poll this week. Lindale has a 25-8 season record and they are ranked #14 in the TGCA Poll. Freshman and JV matches get underway at 5 p.m. in Lindale on this game day Tuesday. The varsity match is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
Usually there is also team tennis on Tuesday. Wildcats Tennis Coach Tony Martinez said the Wildcats and Mount Pleasant have agreed to play their match on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Mount Pleasant.
