Roy Metcalf, age 83 of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 in Winnsboro. He was born on January 5th, 1935 in Mount Pleasant to Hubert Metcalf and Ruth Metcalf. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator throughout his lifetime. He will be dearly missed by his family and extended family the employees and regulars at Richie’s Grill & CafĂ© in Winnsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Claudette; sisters, Willie Mae Hicks, Patricia Derrick; brothers, Edward Metcalf, Robert Metcalf and grandson, Johnathon Johnson.
He is survived by, son, Roy Metcalf, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Longview; daughter, Catherine Beets of Gladewater; brother, Billy Metcalf of Lake Charles; sisters, Shirley and her husband Hoot Ryan of Mt. Pleasant, Doris and her husband John Breeden of Longview, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at Hopewell Cemetery CR 4870 Winnsboro, TX 75494.
