The Carnival is Coming to Town June 13-17 During Dairy Festival 2018

The Dairy Festival Carnival is coming to town! One of the best in rides and midway will bring the fun to Sulphur Springs on Wednesday June 13 through Sunday June 17, 2018 on the grounds of the Hopkins County Civic Center, 1200 Houston Street. Parents will be glad to know that Super Handy Stores are stepping up once again as the exclusive location for discount armband sales. These will be available at $20 each at local Super Handy Stores from June 8-12, prior to the Carnival’s arrival. The armbands allow for all-you-can-ride fun at a discount price. After that, armbands will be sold at the Carnival for $25 each, or tickets for individual rides can be purchased at the ticket windows.

David McCaig is a 25-year volunteer with Dairy Festival and serves in many roles

David McCaig serves on the Carnival Committee along with Lonnie Fox. Both are part of the 25-member Dairy Festival Board of Directors. It’s true that most members have served for numerous years, some even decades, and that speaks well for any non-profit organization. In David’s case, it’s a family affair as his children and grandchildren have been part of numerous parades and pageants. And as members of Shannon Oaks Church, David’s family helps host the Festival’s Hot Air Balloon Glow and Rally and the Chamber’s Ice Cream Freeze-Off on the church grounds during the first weekend of Dairy Festival.
