Taylor Signs Letter of Intent to Become Student/Athlete at Wayland University

Approached by the track coach after her performance at the Texas 5-A State Track meet and lured by the drier climate of the High Plains/Panhandle region of Texas, Imani Taylor will attend Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas. Monday morning at the SSHS Practice Facility, Taylor, Lady Cat Track State competitor, signed a letter of intent to attend Wayland Baptist University as a student athlete.  Taylor will compete in long jump and sprint events.

Taylor will major in education and desires to coach in her future. Taylor calls Wayland a great fit for her even though the campus is over a six hour drive from home.

Taylor was surrounded by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Freddie Taylor, and a number of friends and SSHS coaches as she signed the  letter of intent.
