Wildcats Athletic Director Greg Owens has been busy as coaching vacancies have cropped up this summer.
At a recent SSISD board meeting, the board approved Alexander Guerra as football defensive coordinator and PE Coach. Coach Guerra comes from Nevada Community where he was Defensive Coordinator and Inside Linebacker Coach. He replaces Triston Abron who left to become the head coach at Paul Pewitt.
At a board meeting Monday, the board approved Brittany Tisdale to be the Lady Cats Basketball Coach. She replaces Lady Cats Coach Jeff Chapman. The board also approved Alexi Upton as Wildcats head soccer coach. Upton played at Mesquite Poteet and comes to Sulphur Springs from Texas State where he is an assistant coach. Upton replaces Nicky Wiggins who submitted his resignation at a recent board meeting.
Monday the SSISD Board also hired Javier Aguayo as Wildcats assistant soccer coach. He will replace Fernando Arrellano whose resignation was accepted Monday.
Monday Adolphus Davis was also hired as a PE teacher and boys coach at Middle School.
