April 25th

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 4750 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:04 a.m. Jacob Clinton, 42, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Darrell King, 42, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2377 near Alba, at approximately 4:31 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 7:06 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Yantis, at approximately 7:30 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 83, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.

At 8:59 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Alba.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:18 a.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 2920 near Alba. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 10:49 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3588 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:08 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 11:26 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 4558 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4420 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:40 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4583 near Winnsboro; at approximately 4:23 p.m. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and advised extra patrol would be provided.

At 5:12 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 182 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3803 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:59 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

April 26th

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:09 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on HWY 154 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:44 a.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on PR 7850 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 1:46 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:17 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

Deputies were dispatched to Sells St. in Yantis, at approximately 8:41 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3419 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:22 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 9:35 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3138 near Quitman, at approximately 9:51 a.m., in reference to a theft. The reporting party paid a known actor to do work for them, but the actor never did the work. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:00 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver on Hwy 154 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:01 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass that occurred on PR 8257 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 11:01 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 2360 near Mineola.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:00 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 1585 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:23 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on CR 2958 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 2:34 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 3:11 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 4:23 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

At 6:45 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1410 near Quitman.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to University St. in Mineola; at approximately 8:50 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 9:19 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3843 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:53 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

At 10:29 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 2088 near Quitman.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Kilpatrick St. in Mineola; at approximately 10:55 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

April 27th

At 5:59 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 69 near Alba.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 9:20 a.m. Clinton Dickerson, 30, of Lindale, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:35 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 2298 near Mineola.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 1:17 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:33 p.m., in reference to a dog bite that occurred on PR 7952 near Mineola. The owner of the dog was advised of the quarantine protocol.

At 2:11 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1410 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1534 near Alba, at approximately 2:18 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:43 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances that occurred on CR 4760 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:31 p.m., in reference to theft that occurred on CR 2155 near Quitman. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a package off of the reporting party’s porch.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Alba, at approximately 4:32 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies determined the damage done was faulty workmanship and the incident was cleared.

At 6:06 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:12 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1681 near Alba, at approximately 6:47 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 7:24 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 7:28 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1410 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:42 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2169 near Quitman, at approximately 10:47 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4890 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:43 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

April 28th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2120 near Quitman; at approximately 12:05 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:23 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on HWY 80 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3190 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:33 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Patrick Monnat, 31, of Quitman, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2377 near Alba, at approximately 4:39 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:51 a.m., in reference to a theft that occurred at the baseball fields in Yantis. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s sons’ wallet.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2689 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:27 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 10:20 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 12:34 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

At 12:40 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1950 near Yantis.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:10 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on FM 779 near Mineola. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Lake Hawkins RV Park, at approximately 4:06 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any signs of illegal activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1615 near Alba, at approximately 5:43 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s property. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and determined that it was a civil matter.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 7:12 p.m., in reference to burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, cut a lock and stole several items from the reporting party’s building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2298 near Mineola; at approximately 9:12 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2298 near Mineola; at approximately 9:14 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1350 near Quitman; at approximately 9:50 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to SPUR 514 near Yantis, at approximately 10:16 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3450 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:23 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 11:13 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music.

April 29th

At 12:16 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1726 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2377 near Alba, at approximately 4:38 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 5:15 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

At 6:40 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1612 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:00 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Upon the deputies’ arrival, the individual fired a gun multiple times in the general direction of the deputies. Johnny Michael, 38, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Aggravated Assault Against Public Servant.

At 9:19 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3459 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:48 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 70, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.

At 9:51 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 4990 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 10:27 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Deputies spoke with all parties and cleared the incident.

At 10:39 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Hawkins.

At 12:41 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Quitman.

At 1:05 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1919 near Yantis; at approximately 3:52 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2935 near Alba; at approximately 4:50 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies responded to a suicidal subject on FM 49 near Mineola; at approximately 5:14 p.m. Clayton Rhodes, 21, of Mineola, was arrested for Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2165 near Quitman, at approximately 5:19 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1670 near Alba, at approximately 6:36 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Adam Morrow, 34, of Alba, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Deputies were dispatched to Loop 564 near Mineola, at approximately 6:51 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2128 near Quitman; at approximately 7:51 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1563 near Alba, at approximately 7:52 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued Criminal Trespass Warnings.

At 7:54 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Winnsboro.

April 30th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4895 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:21 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Georgette Bowen, 57, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Aggravated Assault Date/Family/House with Weapon.

At 7:00 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 9:02 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2150 near Quitman, at approximately 11:41 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any individuals.

At 2:40 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7908 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:16 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Cheyenne near Quitman, at approximately 4:15 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 53, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:24 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on CR 2260 near Mineola. This case is active.

May 1st

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4700 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:43 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to R 2377 near Alba, at approximately 4:32 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1795 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:41 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:27 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:48 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Choctaw near Quitman. Deputies determined that it was a civil matter.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 12:25 p.m., in reference to an open door. Deputies checked the building and were unable to locate any individuals. Deputies secured the building and cleared the incident.

At 2:00 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2650 near Mineola.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:12 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on CR 2267 near Mineola. The reporting party later stated that a family member accidentally damaged the property and deputies cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:59 p.m., in reference to identity theft that occurred on CR 3978 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1689 near Alba; at approximately 5:55 p.m. Kely Vazquez, 24, of Alba, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 8:29 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 10:02 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2298 near Mineola, at approximately 10:54 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 69 near Alba; at approximately 11:50 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Between the dates of April 25 and May 1, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Department of Public Safety and Child Protective Services.

Between the dates of April 25 and May 1, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 1 case with the District Attorney and recovered $500 worth of stolen property.

Total Jail Count – 135 inmates – 118 males and 17 females.
