When big sports events occur for Wildcats and Lady Cats’ team, expect to see KSST and Channel 18’s Doug Haston behind a video camera on a tripod. The 2017-2018 Wildcat All-Sports Banquet takes place Monday (May 7) beginning at 6 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria. KSST Radio will broadcast the banquet live. Haston will be videotaping all the awards for replay at a later date on Channel 18 on Suddenlink Cable.
The Monday event marks the sixth straight day for Haston to document an event. It started last Wednesday night (May 2) as the Wildcats’ baseball team played at Wylie East. Thursday night and Friday night May 3-4) featured the Lady Cats versus Little Elm at McKinney North. Saturday (May 5) the Wildcats’ baseball team needed two games at McKinney Boyd to defeat Wylie East. With no sports Sunday (May 6), Haston shot video of a Choral Society Concert. Then there’s the Athletic Banquet Monday night. Things look pretty good for a Tuesday night off for Haston but you never know. We may think of something.
