April 11th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 779 near Alba; at approximately 12:50 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 1:07 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3804 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:48 a.m. The vehicle was located and towed by Joe’s Wrecker.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7543 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:56 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known individual damaged the reporting party’s property and was issued a citation.

At 9:58 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 2935 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 10:13 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

At 12:19 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

At 1:12 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 5:04 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

At 6:51 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2650 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:05 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to Holiday Village Dr. near Quitman, at approximately 7:49 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 8:26 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Hawkins.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 8:37 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2378 near Alba; at approximately 8:39 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

April 12th

Deputies were dispatched to College St. in Alba, at approximately 12:38 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4460 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:16 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 9:17 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 9:23 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8556 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:37 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 11:42 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1971 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:39 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1795 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:54 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies spoke to the reporting party, at approximately 3:55 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on CR 2791 near Mineola. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1297 near Yantis; at approximately 6:56 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2840 near Mineola; at approximately 7:30 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3220 near Quitman, at approximately 7:38 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 7:45 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to Firelight Lane near Hawkins, at approximately 10:14 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 10:47 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3950 near Hawkins.

April 13th

At 1:40 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 2088 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2700 near Mineola, at approximately 3:13 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Alisa Capetillo, 38, of Friendswood, Texas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resist Arrest, Search or Transport.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1970 near Yantis, at approximately 9:17 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2482 near Mineola, at approximately 10:21 a.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individuals, who were shooting at snakes, and cleared the scene.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:53 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 2375 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 4:00 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 154 near Yantis.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:26 p.m., in reference to theft that occurred on CR 4490 near Winnsboro. Deputies determined it was a civil matter and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2112 near Quitman, at approximately 4:26 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 7:12 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.

At 7:25 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1210 near Quitman.

At 7:32 p.m., cows were reported out on Main St. in Yantis.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2502 near Mineola, at approximately 7:42 p.m. Staci Cole, 42, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3147 near Quitman, at approximately 7:53 p.m., in reference to a disturbance where an assault occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Cheyenne near Quitman; at approximately 9:10 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4885 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:14 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil matter.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 10:09 p.m. John Warren, 38, of Winnsboro, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:09 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

April 14th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2660 near Mineola, at approximately 12:12 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2370 near Alba; at approximately 1:18 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1610 near Alba, at approximately 2:15 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Mineola, at approximately 2:56 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies secured the outside of the reporting party’s residence cleared the incident.

At 1:32 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Hawkins.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 2966 near Quitman; at approximately 1:43 p.m. Gwendolyn Mallett, 56, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1540 near Alba; at approximately 2:58 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:46 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on Woodside Lane near Hawkins. An unknown individual contacted the reporting party over the phone and claimed money was needed for a relative that was in jail. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 8:09 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:18 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

At 10:08 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 182 near Alba.

At 11:33 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4640 near Winnsboro.

April 15th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2632 near Mineola, at approximately 12:53 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 2:26 a.m. The individual fled the scene on foot and deputies began a pursuit. Johnny Crawford, 45, of Quitman, was caught and transferred to a Tyler hospital due to previous health conditions. He is issued warrants for Evading Arrest, Resisting Arrest and Driving While License Invalid.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Alba, at approximately 4:26 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to Suma near Quitman, at approximately 5:43 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 65, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1112 near Quitman, at approximately 9:01 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 3056 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:03 p.m., in reference to an assault. Amanda Loyd, 22, of Hawkins, was arrested for Assault.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 778 near Mineola, at approximately 11:07 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

April 16th

At 12:22 cows were reported out on CR 2944 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2377 near Alba, at approximately 5:54 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:11 a.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on Brazos Bend near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 10:51 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 2:03 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 11 near Leesburg.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 2:24 p.m. Ricky Rushing, 62, of Dallas, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:42 P.M., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on CR 2223 near Mineola. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 4:10 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:08 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred on CR 1590 near Alba. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:07 p.m., in reference to an assault. Leslie Bruce, 38, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 11:38 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

April 17th

At 8:46 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 9:05 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 11:08 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 4849 near Winnsboro; at approximately 1:27 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Loyd St. in Yantis, at approximately 1:29 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil matter.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 2:20 p.m. Jennifer Hunt, 33, of Van, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1994 near Yantis, at approximately 2:37 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil matter.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:02 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1530 near Alba, at approximately 7:04 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 8:01 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1795 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:16 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for then night.

Between the dates of April 11 and April 17, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Boone County and Department of Public Safety.

Between the dates of April 11 and April 17, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 7 cases with the District Attorney, obtained 1 arrest warrant and arrested the individual.

Total Jail Count – 137 inmates – 116 males and 21 females.
