Jimmy Don Goldsmith, 58, of Saltillo, died in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 67 just east of the FM 900 intersection just before 8 a.m. Friday. Sheriff’s deputies said the vehicle driven by Goldsmith ran off the highway into some trees and brush and struck a tree.
Goldsmith was transported from the crash scene to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs emergency room where he was pronounced dead on arrival by Justice of the Peace Brad Cummings.
Funeral services for Jimmy Don Goldsmith were pending with West Oaks Funeral Home.
