PJC-Sulphur Springs Welding Shop Conducts Advisory Meeting with Area Industry

The PJC-Sulphur Springs Center Welding Shop was the site of an advisory committee meeting held recently to share with local and area industry what is going on and what is being taught in welding technology.

Matt Siddens, the coordinator of the PJC Welding Program, said the purpose of meeting with industry representatives is to let them know what we are teaching, as well as gather their input on whether it is sufficient and if there is anything we need to add or take away from our program. John Plemons, welding instructor at the PJC-Sulphur Springs Welding Shop, added that it gives them the opportunity to get acquainted with local industry leaders and their needs.

“We want to be able to send our students out into the workforce with complete training and skills that are needed in local and area industry,” Plemons said.

ADVISORY SESSION: An advisory committee made up of industry representatives in the area met at the PJC-Sulphur Springs Center Welding Shop to discuss and share information regarding welding technology needs in in local and area industries.
