State Senator District 2 incumbent Bob Hall will face Democrat Kendall Scuddar in November and State Representative District 2 Dan Flynn will face Democrat Bill Brannon.
Texas District 2 State Senator Bob Hall
Cindy Burkett carried both Hopkins County but failed to carry the district as she fell short of the Republican nod for District 2 State Senate Seat. Burkett carried Hopkins County with 2542 and to incumbent Hall’s 2197.
State Representative District 2 Dan Flynn
Incumbent Flynn received 11,803 votes district wide to defeat Bryan Slaton for the Republican nomination for State Representative District 2 race in Hopkins County. In Hopkins County Flynn received 2535 votes and Slaton 2174. Flynn received just over 51% of the vote with a 790 vote margin in the district.
