January 24th

At 6:58 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 4430 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:40 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:30 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on FM 17 near Alba. A known actor stole money from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3879 near Mineola, at approximately 4:18 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2370 near Alba, at approximately 5:18 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4559 near Winnsboro, at approximately 5:51 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3650 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:16 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting parties building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1885 near Yantis, at approximately 6:16 p.m., in reference to a disturbance where an assault occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:47 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:28 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 1689 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

January 25th

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 6:40 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:26 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties separated, prior to the deputies’ arrival.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:21 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Damage was done to the reporting party’s roof in an unknown manner.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1885 near Yantis, at approximately 12:40p.m., in reference to a disturbance where criminal mischief occurred. Parties were separated for the night. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4420 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:26 p.m., in reference to an illegal violation. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any burning.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1676 near Alba, at approximately 1:27 p.m., in reference to an illegal violation. Deputies locate the burning and everything was OK.

At 2:41 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 3:40 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2205 near Mineola, at approximately 3:48 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s gate latch. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Cheyenne near Quitman, at approximately 5:54 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1681 near Alba, at approximately 5:58 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 7:54 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 1689 near Alba. Deputies cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3475 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:35 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies located the parties involved and no dispute had taken place.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 10:13 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

January 26th

At 9:28 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4870 near Winnsboro.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:51 a.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on FM 2225 near Quitman. Deputies cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2768 near Mineola, at approximately 12:02 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and cleared the scene.

At 1:14 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4878/CR 4870 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 3:17 p.m., in reference to a fraud. A known actor attempted to cash a fraudulent check and left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 5:04 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individuals and advised them to stop shooting.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2267 near Mineola, at approximately 7:54 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and cleared the scene.

January 27th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 11:55 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:54 p.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole the reporting party’s computer. Deputies located the actor and recovered the property. Curtae Singleton, 26, of Dallas, was arrested for Theft of Property and Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 1:32 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:15 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the source of the shooting and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Lloyd St. in Yantis, at approximately 4:31 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2754 near Mineola, at approximately 6:08 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2445 near Mineola, at approximately 7:33 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies located the parties involved and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2332 near Alba, at approximately 11:06 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the individuals. Dalton Richie, 20, of Alba, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

January 28th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1843 near Yantis, at approximately 12:44 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

At 1:59 a.m., horses were reported out on HWY 80 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 2:55 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:44 a.m., in reference to a scam. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3860 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:26 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Actors, or actors unknown, were on the reporting party’s property without consent. Deputies were unable to locate any signs of forced entry or theft, but the security cameras were covered up. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Alba, at approximately 11:05 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. The parties involved left the scene, prior to the deputies’ arrival. Deputies checked the area and it was secure.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 12:31 p.m. Casey Cadenhead, 29, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 1:13 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole trolling motors from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1843 near Yantis, at approximately 4:34 p.m., in reference to a terroristic threat. Deputies spoke with parties involved and everything was OK.

At 5:41 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4930 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1681 near Alba, at approximately 6:59 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

At 8:58 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1613 near Alba.

January 29th

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 37 near Quitman; at approximately 7:35 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 2966 near Yantis; at approximately 8:16 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:22 a.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on Oriole Cove near Hawkins. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a compound miter saw from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded o investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:52 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies located the parties involved and cleared the scene.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 12:34 p.m. Jeffery Littrell, 26, of Mineola, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 1:30 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Deputies checked the area and all the items were at the reporting party’s residence.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7817 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:53 p.m., in reference to a dog bite. Deputies advised the owner of the dog of the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:13 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Preston Langley, 25, of Kilgore, was arrested for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 778 near Hawkins; at approximately 3:46 p.m. Deputies located the individual and Wyatt’s Towing towed the vehicle.

At 5:22 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154/CR 3220 near Quitman.

At 5:54 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to Cheyenne near Quitman, at approximately 6:11 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook; at approximately 7:10 p.m. Deputes located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 9:13 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 80 near Mineola.

At 11:36 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2749 near Mineola.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:43 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

January 30th

Deputies were dispatched to Indian Gap near Quitman, at approximately 7:23 a.m., in reference to a disturbance where an assault occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 37 near Quitman; at approximately 7:40 a.m. Logan Elliot, 17, of Alba, was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4530 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:26 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:22 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on Hwy 11 near Winnsboro. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a round bailer from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Indian Gap near Quitman, at approximately 2:35 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 4:15 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1540 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to the Hopkins County line, at approximately 6:34 p.m., in reference to a transport. Tina Boles, 39, of Sulphur Springs, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Between the dates of January 24 and January 30, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included Police Departments and Department of Public Safety.

Between the dates of January 24 and January 30, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 2 cases with the District Attorney, obtained 2 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals.

Total Jail Count – 135 inmates – 112 males and 23 females.
